Concealed fixing floating shelf. The shelf size is 600 x 300 deep x 50mm in thickness finished in high gloss black polyurethane paint. The mounting bracket is included plus screws and plugs for fitting to solid brick/masonry walls. Weight capacity of all floating shelves is dramatically improved when fixing to a solid/brick type wall. When fixing to a hollow stud wall, it is recommended to fix at least one fixing hole to a stud if possible.(extra holes can be drilled in the bracket to line up with stud positions, highly recommended). The floating shelf can be fitted to hollow cavity (gyprock) walls using our high quality hollow wall anchors available here. Minimum of 5 are required per shelf. Weight capacity can be up to 10kg when fitted correctly by an experienced shelving installer using the HW3 wall anchors. A correctly installed floating shelf bracket will have no visible movement between the brackets base plate and the wall surface when load is applied to the bracket rods. The installer must check this before fitting the shelf onto the bracket.
