Floating Shelf Bracket 480x40x2.5mm

Suits a floating shelf in size up to 600mm in length, up to 350mm in depth and a minimum of approximately 45mm thickness. Multiple brackets can be used for fitting longer shelves. The floating shelf bracket is fitted to the wall and your custom floating shelf is bored/drilled to suit and fitted onto the support tubes. Weight capacity can be up to 25kg when fitted correctly to good condition solid brick type walls.(depending on wall type, fixings used, shelf size and depth ) The weight capacity decreases when used to support deeper or longer shelves, or when fitted only to gyprock sheeting on cavity type walls.(weight capacity will then be limited to the strength of the gyprock sheet). Your custom floating shelf can be secured by screwing through two pre drilled holes in the support tubes. Note the support tubes have a slight upward angle to help compensate for any shelf droop when shelf is loaded up, so the bracket must be fitted with the stamped arrow indicator facing upwards. The bracket base piece is 48cm long x 4cm deep and is 2.5mm thick steel. Support tubes are 18 mm diameter and 195mm long measured from the front face of base. Multiple holes are provided in the base for fixing to the wall, however other extra holes can be drilled if required to coincide with studs if fixing to a hollow cavity type wall. (highly recommended) Maximum weight rating is only achieved when fixing to good condition solid walls, or into wooden studs in a hollow gyprock type wall. Hollow wall anchors can be used if fitting to cavity type walls available here. Minimum of 5 are required per bracket, please note the bracket weight capacity will then be dependent on the strength of the wall sheeting and particularly the shelf size fitted to the bracket. Correctly installed floating shelf brackets will have no visible movement between the brackets base plate and the wall surface when load is applied to the bracket rods.
