Floating Shelf Bracket Base Size 80x25mm

A correctly installed shelf bracket will have no visible movement between the bracket base plate and the wall surface when load is applied to the bracket support rod. New size single floating shelf bracket with a weight capacity of up to 30kg per pair (actual weight of the custom shelf must be considered) when fitted correctly into a solid good condition brick/cement wall spaced at a maximum of 50cm centres. Wall fixings used must be commensurate with the weight capacity required for your custom shelf installation, test the install once fitted. (using extra/multiple brackets can increase the weight capacity of floating shelves). The bracket base size is 80mm wide x 25 mm deep x 2.5 mm thick steel with 4 x 5mm diameter slotted fixing holes (to allow small adjustment when fitted). The fixing hole spacing's allow the bracket to be fitted to the wooden studs in a cavity wall. The tube support is 145 mm long x 16 mm diameter.( the rod can be cut down to suit shallower depth shelves). Suitable for custom floating shelves of any length, and of thickness 30 mm and above with a maximum depth of 250 to 300mm. (please note the weight capacity of the brackets decreases as shelf depth is increased). For long shelves it is highly recommended to use one bracket per stud in a hollow wall installation, or one bracket every 500 mm spacing in a solid/brick type wall. (the more brackets used the higher the weight capacity.) Hollow wall anchors can be used if fitting to gyprock cavity type walls available here. Minimum of 2 are required per bracket, please note the brackets weight capacity will then only be as strong as the strength of the wall sheeting and the depth of the shelf being fitted. The deeper the shelf (out from the wall dimension), the less weight capacity the shelf will have. Always add the gross weight of the shelf to the weight capacity being quoted/required for your custom shelf installation.
