Floating Shelf Bracket Base Size 80x35mm

All floating shelf brackets are only as strong as the wall fixings used and the wall type the brackets are being installed onto, the size of the shelf ( deeper shelves will have less weight capacity). Brackets should be spaced at 50-60cm centres. Shelf gross weight must be considered as part of total weight capacity of your custom install. Single floating shelf bracket with a weight capacity of up to 30kg per pair spaced at a maximum of 50cm centres and fitted correctly into a solid good condition brick/cement wall using fixings commensurate with the weight capacity of the brackets. The bracket base size is 80 mm wide x 35 mm deep x 3 mm thick galvanised steel with 4 slotted (to allow small adjustment when fitted) fixing holes. The tube support is 155 mm long x 18 mm diameter. Suitable for custom floating shelves of thickness 40mm and above and with a maximum depth of 300mm for the best weight capacity. (please note the weight capacity decreases as shelf depth is increased) . For long shelves it is recommended one bracket per stud in a hollow wall installation, or one bracket approximately every 500 mm spacing in a solid/brick type wall. Hollow wall anchors can be used if fitting to gyprock cavity type walls available here. Minimum of 2 are required per bracket, please note the brackets weight capacity would then only be as strong as the strength of the wall sheeting . Please ensure that your custom installation is tested for weight capacity before the shelf is loaded up. A correctly installed bracket will have no visible movement between the brackets base plate and the wall surface when load is applied to the bracket rods.
