Strong Floating Shelf Bracket Base 80x40mm

All floating shelf brackets are only as strong as the wall fixings used and the wall type the brackets are being installed onto, and the size of the shelf ( deeper shelves will have less weight capacity). Brackets should be spaced at 50-60cm centres. Shelf gross weight must be considered as part of total weight capacity of your custom install. Single floating shelf bracket with a weight capacity of up to 30kg per pair when fitted correctly into a solid good condition brick/cement wall using fixings to suit the weight capacity of your custom shelf. The bracket base size is 80 mm wide x 40 mm deep x 3 mm thick galvanised steel with 4 slotted (to allow small adjustment when fitted) fixing holes. The rod support is 155 mm long x 18 mm diameter. Suitable for custom floating shelves of thickness 45 mm and above and with a maximum depth of 300 mm .(note the weight capacity decreases as the custom shelf depth is increased) . For long shelves it is recommended one bracket per stud in a hollow wall installation, or one bracket every 500 mm spacing in a solid/brick type wall. Hollow wall anchors can be used if fitting to gyprock cavity type walls available here. Minimum of 2 are required per bracket. If fitted directly into/onto gyprock/drywall sheet, the bracket weight capacity will be dependent on the strength of the wall sheeting A correctly installed bracket will have no visible movement between the brackets base plate and the wall surface when load is applied to the bracket rods. The installer must check this before fitting the shelf to the brackets.
