NB. The folding brackets are only as strong as their fixing to the wall, or the wall type, EG. brick/cement or cavity type wall. Zinc plated finish fold down, fold away brackets are ideal for a fold away shelf or lightweight desk top. The brackets are unlocked by pressing the release lever button underneath the front end of the long side of the bracket. The bracket can be locked at 3 different angles of either 90 (right angled) 80 or 70 degrees, or fully folded away. Brackets should be fitted into all wooden studs along the length of your shelf when fitting onto a hollow cavity wall for the best weight capacity, or into a solid brick/masonry type wall for the maximum weight capacity of up to 200 Kg per pair, depending on factors such as wall type, condition of the masonry wall, the wall fixings used , and depth of the shelf fitted to the brackets. The bracket dimensions are 400 mm x 270 mm. The brackets long side can be overlapped (by no more than a third of the bracket length) by the shelf which is being fitted and the shelf must be secured to the brackets using the provided fixing holes in the top surface of the bracket. Please note the weight capacity of the brackets decreases with an increase in the shelf depth. Multiple brackets must be used to support long shelves.
