Exclusive to shelving shop are deeper European made floating shelves with the 2 wall brackets included plus the screws and fixings for fitting to solid brick/masonry type walls. The shelf size is 445 x 300 deep x 50 mm thick, finished in roll painted satin White and manufactured from high density fibreboard. This floating shelf has a weight capacity of up to 30kg when fitted correctly to a good condition brick/masonry type wall using the supplied European made screws and wall plugs, fitted by an experienced shelving installer. The floating shelf can also be fitted to cavity gyprock walls using these hollow wall anchors here. Use 2 per bracket so 4 per shelf. Weight capacity would then be dependent on the strength of the gyprock wall sheeting, but expect up to 10kg of evenly distributed load when fitted correctly by an experienced shelving installer using the HW4 anchors . We do not recommend using wall mates brand hollow wall anchors for fitting floating shelf brackets. A correctly installed bracket will have no visible movement between the brackets base plate and the wall surface when load is applied to the bracket rods.
