German made Mocca finish laminated floating shelf 1150 x 250 x 50 mm in thickness. Wall brackets supplied (shown exposed in one of the images featured) and wall fixings are also supplied for fitting to a brick/cement type wall. This floating shelf should ideally be fitted to solid brick walls, however it can be fitted to hollow gyprock type walls using the correct fixings. The maximum weight capacity is only achieved when fitting to good condition solid brick/cement walls or to the wooden studs in a hollow cavity wall. This floating shelf has a weight capacity of up to 30kg when fitted correctly to a good condition brick/masonry type wall using the supplied European made screws and wall plugs, fitted by an experienced shelving installer. The floating shelf can also be fitted to cavity gyprock walls using these hollow wall anchors here. Use 2 per bracket so 4 per shelf. Weight capacity would then be dependent on the strength of the gyprock wall sheeting, but expect up to 10kg when fitted correctly by an experienced shelving installer using the HW4 anchors. We do not recommend using "wall mates" brand hollow wall anchors for fitting floating shelf brackets. A correctly fitted floating shelf bracket will have no visible movement between the brackets base plate and the wall surface when load is applied to the bracket rods.
