New from shelvingshop is a longer floating shelf introduced due to the high demand, it is finished in the latest rustic Ash veneer real wood laminate , with the natural shade variation of real wood , the shelf size is 1500x250x50mm in thickness. 72cm long bracket is supplied and all screw and plug fixings for installing to solid brick/masonry type walls. The shelf bracket can be fitted to cavity gyprock type walls using these anchors here Use a minimum of 5 per shelf. If fitted only into gyprock sheeting, the weight capacity will then be limited to the actual strength of the gyprock wall sheet but expect up to 10kg of evenly spread load on the shelf when fitted by an experienced shelving installer using HW3 hollow wall anchors . (we do not recommend wall mates brand wall anchors for fitting floating shelf brackets) . Extra fixing holes can be drilled into the shelf bracket base to coincide with wall studs when fitting the bracket to a cavity wall (highly recommended). Correctly installed floating shelf brackets will have no visible movement between the brackets base plate and the wall surface when load is applied to the bracket rods. The shelving installer must check this before fitting the shelves to the brackets.
